Virtually all of our cafe serving containers, & cutlery are compostable. We have composting bins in the cafe that go to commercial composting facilities each day with our food scraps and customer containers.

Jeremy & Verity Dixon set it up in 2004 after they went to a health retreat and wanted to provide super healthy food so people could have the same energy and vitality.

There are no 100% guarantees with health. However there is a lot of great studies around that show your risk factors for many diseases are significantly reduced with a plant-based diet and good lifestyle.

We could not in good conscience serve items we believe are damaging to your health. We respect peoples free choice but cannot promote it. Coffee is a drug, it makes your body more acidic, a great place for diseases to start.

We believe in serving whole foods. People eat too much refined sugars. We use natural sweetening sources like maple syrup, dates, dried fruit & rice syrup.

Yes! We started off vegetarian but changed to 100% vegan around 2016. We are plant powered. But even better, we do not use white flour, white sugar, deep friers. We maximise the healthiness of our food as much as possible!

The vast majority of our items are gluten-free. Check out the ingredients.
Heat & Eat Meals - most are gluten-free except for some marked (G)
Wopples - all are gluten-free
Muesli - we have a couple of gluten free mueslis (marked GF). The rest contain oats.

We use the following ingredients in our kitchen so all our products may contain these: gluten (oats, wheat, barley), peanut, sesame, almond, hazelnut, walnuts, pecan, Brazil nut, pistachio, cashew, soy, sulphites, lupin.

We deliver everywhere in NZ including rural addresses:

We don't deliver perishable food to rural addresses.

➡️ Many rural customers have friends or businesses in a local town they get perishable things delivered to.

Once we despatch you order we will send you a confirmation with a tracking link.

We cannot guarantee any specific delivery time as it will work in with NZ Post courier schedule in your area.

We send all our orders "Authority To Leave" so you do not have to be home.

The courier will put in a safe place. If they cannot find a safe place they will not leave and will leave a card. Please ensure you do have a safe obvious place for the courier to leave your yummy items!

If you order heat & eat meals or Wopples, it is your responsibility to ensure you put into the freezer once the items arrive. (This will be by 9pm on the day of delivery which is when our packaging is rated until).

That is normal. Our food and ice packs will arrive cold (under 4 degrees). They may have melted or not be totally frozen but that is normal. Simply ensure you put straight into the freezer.

We can deliver to any New Zealand address that NZ Post delivers to.

However we cannot deliver perishable items (heat & eat meals) to rural addresses (as defined by NZ Post).

North Island Non-Rural - Usually 1-3 working days
South Island - add an extra day
Rural - add an extra day
Note we do not send perishable items (wopples, meals) over the weekend.

If you order items $50 or more the shipping is free.

✈️ South Island heat & eat meals we send airfreight which attracts an additional $15 fee

🚜 Rural attracts an additional $6 fee.

Order less than $50 have a $12 shipping fee.

1. We always send via a perishable service or airfreight to the South Island.
2. Our packaging is rated to 30 hours at a food safe temperature (under 4 degrees).
3. We use wool blankets and ice packs to assist.
4. We never send over the weekend.

We use NZ Post for our deliveries.
